Allegations inquiry
PA Wellington A team led by the Auckland C. 1.8. regional co-ordi-nator, Detective Chief Superintendent Brian Wilkinson, is inquiring into allegations made in the Royal Commission’s report on the Mount Erebus DCIO disaster. A spokesman at police
headquarters said yesterday that the team had been asked to make inquiries to see if any offence took place, and to see if prima facie cases could be established. The spokesman said that it would be improper to suggest who might be charged, or to state what charges might be laid.
