Girl hurt
A Darfield girl is seriously ill in the intensive care unit of Christchurch Hospital after a riding accident on Sunday. Angela Riley, aged 13, of Longdon Street, suffered head injuries when she fell on to the road while trying to stop a runaway horse. Sonia Ann Early, of Greendale, died in Christchurch Hospital on Monday after a similar accident on Saturday.
