Brenrob impressive in training
Special Correspondent Hastings The in-form horses, Brenrob and Kurdistan Agent, showed they have trained on in grand style with impressive trials at the Hastings track yesterday morning. Fast work was mainly confined to the plough which provided easy footing. Brenrob proved far too good for Bubalou in their 1200 m workout.
Brenrob, was not extended but was three lengths clear after recording Imin IS.Bs, the last 600 m in 40.45. He has obviously thrived since his Feilding Cup success and will tackle the Gloaming Stakes at Trentham on Saturday.
Another which is thriving is Kurdistan Agent. He has had a busy time lately but looks as bright as ever. Yesterday he sprinted BCOm
in 49.55, the last 600 m .in 37.15. Kurdistan Agent will run in the Wadestown. Handicap at Trentham on Saturday and his trainer, Bruce McLintock, also has him nominated for the Waterloo Handicap on the second day. Claymore Boy and Kanazaan, race-rivals at Wellington on Saturday, worked together over 1200 m in Imin 18.55, the last 600 m in 39.55.
