Two drivers suspended
Craig Newfield and Michael Heenan were suspended until after May 2 after an inquiry into the running of the Patrons’ Handicap at Addington Raceway on Saturday. Newfield, the driver of Brockworth Globe, and Heenan, the driver of Young Del, were found guilty of jostling. This had caused Young Del to break about the 900 m and check King’s Rainbow. An inquiry was held into the breaking of Moonshiner with 1300 m to run in the Blaxall Handicap. The horse's driver, Robert Cameron. said he had broken free of interference. In view of the past performances, of Moonshiner and a warning about his manners, it ' was decided to stgnd him down from totalisator meetings until after May 16,
