Jones plays fine golf
NZPA Sydney New Zealand’s Stuart Jones produced the finest golf of the inaugural Qantas Australian Seniors’ amateur golf championship at The Lakes course, in Sydney, on Friday. Jones was two under the card after fourteen holes on his way to a 72. but it failed to cancel out a disastrous 87 on the previous day at The Australian, and he ended the tournament in third spot with 315. South Australia’s Max Dale won the tournament by three strokes, after closing with a six-over-par 79 to finish with a tally of 311 for the 72-hole event.
