Letter Ashley forest open days
The'New Zealand Forestry Service recently held open days at Ashley Forest, which seem to have been popular with both young and old. Here is a letter we received from the Junior Room at Omihi Schopl. Sir. • We would like to take the opportunity of thanking the New Zealand Forest Service for the open days it held at Ashley Forest. We appreciated the chance of seeing what really goes on in a forest. We had never realised how different, and in some
cases, how complex, the jobs were. We learnt a lot of things about our forest service and were very impressed with the thought and effort that went into the displays and setting out of machinery and equipment. Signed: Miss Beales.
