PA Wellington New Zealand’s ‘Tast expanding” trade with China is to have its own publicity Vehicle in China. The twice-yearly journal, “New Zealand Industry and Agriculture,” which will be printed in the official Chi--nese written language and distributed to buyers throughout the republic, is being strongly supported by export traders, a statement said.

China is New Zealand's fastest-growing overseas market. Sales quadrupled in the three vears to June 1980 to ?117 million and growth of 40 per cent is being predicted for the current year. The main item in the trade, is .wool, while pulp and paper, other forest products, seeds, steel, leather, animal by-products, dairy products, livestock, and a range of manufactured products are being traded, as well as skills, including agricultural expertise and geothermal technology. The publishers of the new journal are David Syme and Company, Ltd, of Melborune, the publisher of the •'Age" newspaper and a quarterly, “Australian Agriculture, Industry and Technology.” The managing editor is John Goldfinch, a Wellington public relations consultant and former manager of the dairy

industry informa' services. The 32-page journal will be printed in colour and will feature articles on New Zealand products and services. The first issue to be published in China in May, is in course of preparation. Articles will deal with products and processes, including carpets, and roofing materials, forest products, animal byproducts, shipping services and agricultural machinery. Other articles " will background the trade in New Zealand wool and dairy products, geothermal technology, and agricultural expertise. The Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Taiboys), contributes a welcoming foreword. The president of the NewZealand China Trade Association, Mr C. R. Howell, discusses the trade on the basis of his 25 years experi-ence-in it, and the Embassy of China, Mr Ruan Jiageng, writes of his pleasure in seeing the new export journal established..
