CSB rates raised

The Canterbury Savings Bank has raised its interest rates for a new investment package announced this week, The top rate of interest is now 13 per cent for one and J two years, compared with 12 '■per cent and 12.5 per cent respectively for the two terms previously. Other new rates introduced include 10 per cent for 30 days (8 per cent previously); 12 per cent for six months (11.5 per cent); and 12.5 per cent for three years (12 per cent). In addition, (he bank has also introduced new “flexiterm” rates which are special between term rates to suit the needs of individual depositors.
