The successful applicant will manage" a team of experienced and able managers, well versed in their various disciplines. The person will report to the Board of Directors. After proven performance a directorship is envisaged. The person will be encouraged to travel in alternate years to overseas markets, particularly in the USA and Europe. The location is in the Head Office Christchurch City. REQUIREMENTS: • Proven successful senior management experience in commercial decision making. • Strong ability in short and long term planning and strategy development. • Demonstrated capacity to manage a team of executives. • An affinity with primary industry would be a distinct advantage. • A person who is recognised as a business leader and able to project a high profile in public relations. • Evidence of strong thinking abilities, and a commercially imaginative mind, but balanced by a practical, profit orientated approach. • Age range flexible but preferably the 40-50 age group,.
