Star Order acted as if he had freshened nicely since he last raced when he galloped at Riccarton yesterday.
Ridden by his trainer, Eddie Low, Star Order ran 1400 m on the trial grass with Fulla Cheer in imin 30.85, the last €OO in 37.8. Star Order was rolling into his work keenly at the end.
Fangio and the former-
northerner, one of the fastest turned 36, one of the fastest 600 m gallops of the morning. The Nelson-bound Early Dance recorded 48.6 s for 800 m, and 36.6 for the final 600.
La Figlia put plenty of vim into her 600, finishing strongly in 36.6. Peter Jones’s two-year-olds, Weinmeister and Primate, followed in 36.5, and Indigod in 37.
