Brych trial delayed

NZPA Washington The trial irr California of .the former New Zealand medical practitioner, Milan Brych, on charges relating to his alleged cancer cure is not likely to start until the middle of the year. The case was formally remanded for a -week at the request of the defence when it was called at a Los Angeles court on Wednesday. Brych’s lawyer, Mr Godfrey Isaac, had earlier indicated that he planned to visit New Zealand and Australia to seek witnesses to testify on Brych’s behalf. Brych has pleaded not guilty to five charges of practising medicine without a licence, five of offering an unauthorised cancer cure in breach of California’s health and safety code, and three of grand theft by fraud in respect of payments he received for his alleged cancer cure.
