Batting performances were the f nature cf the St Albans v. Lancaster Park senior womens c .••Let match on Saturday. At slumps the match was evenly t aHnced, wits Park edging towards St Albans’ first innings, t o-e of 171 for six wickets. Ann McKenna (66) and Vicki Burtt (68) were the main cohtributors to the St Albans total. Sheryl Gardyne, with, three wickets, was the best Paih bowler. Sue. Storey and Jenny Olsen, the Park openers, both scored 52, and both were run out just before stumps. At the close, Park had reached 112 for two wickets. In the second selior game, Riccarton declared at Tl 5 for seven wickets. Sue Rattray batted quietly for 32, and Sue Brown (took six wickets for 46. • ’ • ■ Sydenham crashed in the early part of its innings to be 34 for five. It was rescued to some ex-
tent by a determined stand between Pat Carrick (28 not out) and a young player, Lynley Neutze, who stayed with her for an hour before stumps. Miss Neutze was one not out.
