Dahlia show results
The Canterbury Horticultural Society’s Dahlia Show’held over the weekend drew a large number of entries of a very good standard, said the judges, The Champion Bloom Award for the best bloom in the show was won by Mr B. D. Buckley. Mr Buckley also
took another six category awards: Medium -Decorative, Medium Semi-Cactus, Vase Small Decorative, Miniature Decorative; Miniature and Small Semi-Cactus. The Large Fibriated Cactus award went to Mrs B. D. Hathaway and the Small Fibriated Cactus award to Mrs E. Fenton. The Giant Semi-Cactus section and the Large Exhibition Cactus:category, were won by R. Lusetti and Mrs Lusetti. The Nymphaea section was won by Mr G. 5. Gunn of Ashburton, and the Pompon section by Mr K. R. Whittington.
