Swimming squads named

Grant Forbes and Phillip Seal, two swimmers who could not win a place in the team for the New Zealand Games, last 'month, have received a rapid elevation to the Brisbane Commonwealth Games squad. Forbes and Seal were included in a squad of 27 announced at the end of. the New Zealand championships in Rotorua on Saturday. Chosen on performances at the New Zealand- Games, the Hansell’s. age-group championships a week - ago, a and the national championships,, the squad will attend a twoweek training camp in Christchurch in May under the well-known Otago coach, Mr Duncan Lang. Teams to swim at several carnivals in California in
July and the Australian winter championships in Brisbane in August will'be selected from the squad. It is hoped the • basis of the team for the Brisbane Commonwealth Games in October 1982 will eventuate from the squad. The main squad is.
