More spent on imports
PA Wellington Preliminary trade figures for January show an excess value of imports over exports of $20.1 million, compared with $24.6 million for the corresponding period last year, says the Government Statistician (Dr J. H. Darwin). The January, 1981 figures are exports valued at $400.2 million and imports valued at $420.3 million.
