Market slide stops

The recent New Zealand sharemarket slide was halted yesterday, as prices firmed in quiet trading - . TNL Group eased 2c to 90c in spite of announcing - a good half-yearly result, and Southland Frozen. Meat recovered 5c to 220 c on a reasonable annual report. Among the market leaders, Fletcher regained 9c, N.Z. Forest Products 4c, and New Zealand Insurance Bc.
