Sunday’s competitions
To complement the Kaikoura A. and P. Show the Kaikoura branch of the Marlborough Horse Society will hold its biannual circuit day at the showgrounds on Sunday. The Scnday competitios will mark the final of the South Island show jumping circuit. Finalists will then go on to compete in the North Island circuit and the Horse of the Year competitions which begin on March 3. Competitions this Sunday will begin at 8.30 a.m. There will be four dres-
sage arenas and two show jumping rings.
The South Island team competing will be as follows:— Kathy Taylor (Ashburton) with Copperfield and Captivation; Judson Arthur (Dunedin) with Cargros; Tracy Chang (Christchurch) with Haldon Rd; Lyn Collins (Dunedin) with Kowhai Ridge; Owen Begg (Gore) with Loyal Flight. A happy hour will be held at the conclusion of the day’s events at approximately 6 p.m. to give local people and riders an opportunity to meet the South Island team.
