PA Auckland One of the victims of the Industrial stoppages is the president of the Auckland Trades Council, Mr G. H. Andersen, who was due to arrive back in New Zealand at the week-end after a trip to Russia. Mr Andersen, as president of the Socialist Unity Party, and the national
secretary, Mr G. Jackson, have been attending . the twenty-sixth congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. They were diie to arrive at Auckland on Saturday but are stranded at Sydney because of disruption to Air New Zealand and Qantas flights caused by the strikes.
