NZPA Glasgow The New Zealand bowler, John Murtagh, was defeated by a Canadian, David Duncalf. at the Embassy world indoors bowls championship at Coatbridge yesterday. The 40-year-old Paritutu player went down, 13-21, to Duncalf. who played bowls in Cheshire before migrating to Canada. Duncalf, the Canadian champion, is in the same

group as David Bryant, the defending world champion, and the British Isles indoors champion. Billy McKelvey, from Belfast.
