Retail values up 12 p.c.
PA Wellington Total retail stocks in New Zealand at December 31, 1980, were 12.6 per cent higher in value than a year earlier, but 3.4 per cent lower than the figure at September 30, 1980. The figures, released yesterday by the Government Statistician (Dr J. H. Darwin) also show that ■when corrected for seasonal variations the December 31 figure was 0.1 per cent higher than the value at the end of September, 1980.
