Hosing ban at Nelson
PA Nelson A critical water shortage has forced the Nelson City Council to impose a total ban on the use of hoses. Already some parts of Nelson City have virtually run out of water and the City Council has offered relief supplies lo affected households.
The council’s ban means that rhe use of hoses for any reason is prohibited. Farmers are reportedly' worried about the effect of the drought on apples and other fruit. The province has bad only two isolated falls of rain since November.
