Seminar on Waitaki
A seminar on the future of the Waitaki River which will be held at Oamaru from March 6 to 8 has attracted a strong platform of speakers representing the Gove'mment and farming, environmental, and commercial groups. Sir Frank Holmes, chairman of the Planning Council, heads the list of guest speakers. Representatives of Government departments involved in planning the hydro-electric development of the river will also speak, as will members of Federated Farmers, the Acclimatisation Societies, and the Coalition fov Open Government.
