Coaching in polo
PA Hastings New Zealand’s top-rated polo player, Stuart McKenzie, has accepted an cffer to coach Prince Charles in polo later this vear.
Mr McKenzie, who plays for the Central Hawke’s Bay team of Wanstead, has played polo professionally in England and the United States. He met Prince Charles while playing for the Guards’ team from the Windsor Polo Club in England. Mr McKenzie was approached about coaching the Prince after playing a match for the club last year.
Mrs McKenzie said yesterday that the coaching request had been confirmed by letter from the Windsor Polo Club. Mr McKenzie left New Zealand on Monday for Florida and will'be joined by Mrs McKenzie and their two children next month.
In May they will travel to England for the polo season and will live in a cottage in Windsor Park.
