Sub-unions’ windfall
Even before the tour begins, . the Canterbury rugby sub-unions have cause for being happy with tbeir decision to send their senior team to Australia this year. The secretary-treasurer of rhe sub-unions’ association, Mr R. J. M. Millar, has told the association’s annual; meeting that the raffle toi raise funds for the six-game: tour (five in Queensland and, one in New South Wales) in: April had been a great' success. ft was largely raffle pro-: ceeds that gave the associa-j xion a profit of $14,814 for: the year and Mr Millar said'
