Angus’s Lanark Lad. Both ponies had eight faults in the first jump-off over raised fences. Against the clock, Nyjlnsky had four faults to win the event from Lanark Lad, with eight. The South Island junior championship produced another win for Judson Arthur (Dunedin) and Zargros. This same combination won the New Zealand junior title last year. Flush, ridden by Sue Ailevne (Christchurch), made a clean sweep in winning all the medium dressage classes and the Wills South Island championship. A double win went to E’en Do, ridden by Denise Killey (Ashburton); it took the champion working hunter and the. champion hack, as well as many plaeings in ths dressage classes. Mrs Alison Sampson was once Again successful in the ehamoion pony, winning with Sister Jane, which also won the “paced and mannered, and claimed the re. 1 serve with Milly Molly Mandy. The first day's feature event, : the A and B grade horse for the I Beath Cup, resulted in a win for: Kathy Taylor and Captivation!
