Walker, : has” been chdseri for-the front cover and-at: big article of a-prestigious British magazine, the ‘’Architectural 5 Review.” Under ..- the'. headline, /’New Zealand Audacity,” are a series of colour and black and white photographs of Mr Walker’s work, ranging from the house he designed for the restaurateur, Des Britten, to the Wellington Club.
“We think this is some of the- most interesting* and lively architecture in the world at the moment,’-*, the editor of “The Architectural Review,” . Mr Peter Davey, told NZPA. “We consider that, between them, Roger Walker and lan Athfield have put New Zealand architecture on the map.” Mr Davey said he first noticed the two architects’ work in the “New Zealand Architectural . Review,” and was able to talk to Mr Walker when he visited the United Kingdom recently. , .
