Mr Quigley’s position
Sir, — My admiration for Derek Quigley increases , day by day. He has continued to take a stand for private enterprise, tax reduction, company profit and more individual responsibility while other members of Parliament refuse to do so. He is obviously a man of principles, who is prepared to stick by them when others will say one thing and do another. We need more members of Parliament who are willing to accept that government has grown too big and cumbersome, and that people must regain the ability to run their own lives. The kind of collectivist, big government thinking that many other members of Parliament adhere to can only lead us . into a worse economic and political state. For Mr Quigley to urge people to campaign- for tax reduction when others remain silent marks him out as a real individual, one who
is worthy of every support. Keep it up, Derek Quigley — Yours, etc., . KATHY LOWE. February 10, 1981.
