Botham, Dilley differ
NZPA-Reuter Port-of-Spain, Trinidad ! The England fast bowler, < Graham Dilley, and his cap- : tain, lan Botham, argued on ] the pitch during the third : day of the four-day cricket i clash against Trinidad and Tobago yesterday., 1 Botham pulled Dilley out of the attack when he was I about to deliver his seventh 1 over because of a dis- i agreement' over field plac- ' ings.
The team’s manager, Alan Smith, described the incident as an, “animated discussion” and Dilley, who was replaced by Graham Stevenson, did not bowl again during the pre-tea period as Trinidad replied to England’s first innings total of 355. The incident appeared to be forgotten during the final 30 minutes as Dilley returned to bowl four more overs and Trinidad took its total to 144 for two.
