No reply on proposal
PA Wellington The New Zealand Cricket Council chairman, Mr Bob Vance, said yesterday that he still had not had a reply from the Australian Cricket Board over the proposed one-day international between New Zealand and Australia in this country next month. He said he had heard ru-
mours that the Australians were not interested in the match, tentatively set down for the week-end of March 21-22, in Auckland. However, he was not prepared to speculate on the accuracy of the rumours. “As far as I’m concerned there will be nothing further to add until I have heard from the Australian Board,” Mr Vance said.
