Hadlee unavailable
Barry Hadlee will not be available for a full season of Shell cricket next summer. The long-serving and talented Hadlee, who made 467 runs at an average of 42.5 in the series which ended yesterday, said he had not retired and would probably be willing to play the occa-
: sional game for Canterbury, 1 if he was required. It is to be hoped that his career does not end yet. He ' scored two Shell Trophy i centuries this summer, and 1 still looked a class above : nearly all the rest as he took his career total beyond ■ 4500 runs.-
