A biographical book on New Zealand cricket’s man of the moment, Richard Hadlee, will celebrate its publication date today with all 5000 copies of the New Zealand edition already ordered. Entitled, simply, “Hadlee,” the book was written by R. T. Brittenden, Sports Editor of “The Press” and a highly
esteemed writer on cricket. The publishers, A. H. and A. W. Reed, Ltd, have sold the rights on the book to two overseas publishers. A spokesman for the company said yesterday that the demand for the book had been “tremendous,” and said he would be surprised if it was not reprinted.
