Doctor for Chathams
An Australian-trained doctor has begun work as a permanent doctor on the Chatham Islands. He is Dr John Alehin, a graduate of the University of New South Wales. Dr Alehin takes up a
post which has been held by temporary appointees for the last six months. Married to a New Zealand nurse, Dr Alehin has worked as a house surgeon at Dunedin and Oamaru.
