Mr A. J. McGuire has been appointed general manager of the Fanners and Haywrights retail chain. Mr McGuire, who joined Haywrights, Ltd, from Wright Stephenson’s in 1969, was previously the company’s merchandise manager. His appointment follows the retirement of the managing director of Fanners and Haywrights, Mr G. R. Lawn, from March 31, 1981. Mr Lawn, who has been with Haywrights since 1945, will become an executive director of Farmers and Haywrights and will continue to be responsible to the Board fcr retail operations. Mr T. A. Gyde, who has been trading manager since the integration of the N.Z. Farmers Co-op retail division and Haywrights, will
continue in that capacity but with increased responsibility for store performance, personnel, and training.
