Engine driver injured
PA Wanganui A Wanganui engine driver was in Patea Hospital last evening after a spectacular derailment north of the town. His name and condition were not available late last evening. The fireman was not injured. The incident occurred at Wilson Road, just south of Kakaramea and a few kilometres north of Patea, when two locomotives and eight meat container waggons toppled into a washout.
