Man pulled from van and shot in street
p'A Hamilton ---The .Hamilton police, appeal to the public for help to unravel a bizarre incident in Ngaruawahia on Christmas Eve in which a man was shot.

Afterwards, -Jn the towtfs main street, another 'vehicle, believed to be a yellow car with two persons in it, pulled in behind the van. Mr Te Hiwi was pulled from the driver’s seat of the van and a shot from a .22 rifle or pistol hit him in the leg. By the time police arrived, both the van and the car containing the alleged attackers had disappeared, and no trace has been found of either vehicle.
The police believe the shooting could have been, the result of an argument over ownership of the van.
