New Zealand’s programme for the control of chemical residues in . food animals has been accepted by a mission from the Unitea States Department of Agriculture.
The three-man- mission completed a review of New Zealand's ability to control residues in food producing animals.
The team accepted that the Ministry’ of Agriculture and Fisheries had the regulatory, laboratory, and practical controls necessary to ensure'that danger to public; health from chemical resi-l dues in animals was negligible. I
