Arethusa appeals at Taranaki
Special correspondent New Plymouth The well-performed mares, Arethusa and Tavern Queen, could be a successful combination for the T.A.B. double at the Taranaki Jockey Club’s meeting at New Plymouth on Boxing Day. The hardest for Arethusa, which is seeking a win to ensure sufficient weight for an Auckland Cup start, to beat in the first leg, the Christmas Handicap, could be Nearpetual and Uhero. Tavern Queen’s strongest rivals in the second leg, the Wynyard Memorial, are likely to be Shoshanna and Heidi Belle. racing
