A Summerhill stone house on an elevated 579.2 sq m section at 132 Richardson Terrace, Woolston, was passed in at auction on Thursday at $27,500. The reserve was $30,000 and the property is' now up for private sale. Its Government Valuation (1979) is $24,000. The two-bedroom house has a spacious lounge with floor to ceiling windows and French doors, a separate dining room, and an iron roof. The section is planted in shrubs, climbing roses flowers and lawns. Mr B. Watson, of Watson’s Real Estate, was the auctioneer. • “Double Corner Farm,” about skm from Amberley on the south bank of the Waipara River was also passed in — at $590,000. The Government Valuation (1979) is $314,000. About 35 people attended the auction, which was conducted by Mr C. McAuley, of the Farmers’, in Christchurch, and negotiations for private sale are continuing. The 217.4 ha property includes a three bedroom brick homestead as well as a new homestead still under construction, and was auctioned for Mr P. G. Hogan and Mr j. R. Murray.
