Clifford Edyvean, of Bromley, who will be two next month, had an early birthday present, shared with his brother Sean, aged four, when the family’s pet, one of only seven Groenendaels (Belgian shepherd dogs) in New Zealand, gave birth to eight pups. The adult dogs were brought into this country from Australia about two-and-a-half years ago, and their pups are believed to be the first of their breed to be bred and born here.
