Mrs Tania Pope, of Waip-11 ara, was not connected with I < a receiving charge which j went before the District! Court at Christchurch on’ November 18 and 26, the; police said yesterday. ; The defendant, Suzanne; Dawn Gray, was said in thei 1 information sheet to havejl received two rings, to a;' total value of $3950, from, 1 Mrs Pope. : . • ji The case had gone before?!
I the court before Mrs Pope I could be found, a police i spokesman said. He said ; that subsequent inquiries 'had established that ; information given to the i police was wrong, and that Mrs Pope had not been involved in the alleged ofI fence. The information jwould be amended by the ■ police at the next calling. i Gray has been remanded Ito January 15 for a defended i hearing.
