Pacific Games medals
A total of 450 medals — 50 gold, 50 silver, 50 bronze and 300 of a commemorative nature — are being produced for the 1981 Pacific Conference Games track and field meeting at Queen Elizabeth II Park, Christchurch, on January 31 and February 1. The obverse side includes the Christchurch City Coat of Arms and the wording “The Fourth Pacific Conference Games” and “Christchurch 1981.” On the reverse side is the Games logo with a suitable inscription to denote whether it is a place or a commemorative medal. The medals will be 50mm in diameter and 3mm thick.
