Ready for Ice
Mr - Justice Mahon, the one-man Commission of Inquiry into last year’s Mount Erebus DCIO crash, was fitted out with polar clothing in Christchurch yesterday in preparation for his. brief visit to the Antarctic. His Honour was due to fly from
Christchurch to the Antarctic at 6 a.m. today. He was to be accompanied by a senior inspector of air accidents, Mr M. B. Wylie; the superintendent of the Antarctic Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Mr R. B. Thomson; two journalists; and about four other persons.
