Ministry Q.S. retires
A man closely associated with the building of the Roxburgh hydro dam. Mr Colin bmith, has retired from his post of chief quantity surveyor for the Ministory of Works and Development. Mr Smith joined the Ministry of Works Housing Division in 1944. In the early 1950 s he was the district quantity surveyor in Dunedin and was involved with the . hydro construction and the rebuilding of the Milford Sound Hotel. Mr Smith, a past president of the .Institute of Quantity Surveyors, is married, with two children, He will return to Auckland, from Wellington, for his retirement.
