More than 100 riot police were called out at the weekend to quell thousands of revellers who turned Thailand’s Loy Krathong. festival into violet chaos. .The celebrants went on the rampage jin Bangkok when the organ|iser tried to stop the festijvities shortly after midnight 'instead of the promised 5 a.m. Screaming “lynch him, lynch him,” the angry crowd burned hundreds of chairs, the stage, and two trucks.
