Support for tour

Three Christchurch rugby clubs have , taken votes on next year’s proposed Springbok tour, and all three are in favour of it taking place. The clubs are Albion, Suburbs and Lincoln College and; their support was contained in letters' received at last evening’s meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union. As is its policy, the union will pass on this information to the national union. • Albion, in its. letter, said that 90 per cent of its senior members had participated in a ballot on whether a meritselected Springbok team should come to New Zealand next year and 80 per cent had been in favour.
