• < RACING 1 HOW TO ENTER in each Wednesday's edition of the Chch Press a race meeting for the following Saturday ' will be nominated. ! Those entering are invited to select a horse in the last eight races of the meeting. Points will be allocated, Ist—s points,- 2nd—3 points; 3rd—l point. The successful entrant/s shall win or share the prize money. Also a Jackpot shall run and shall be won or shared by the entrant/s who select all eight winners, this pot shall increase in relation to the number of entries received till struck or is terminated. If the Jackpot is not struck it shall continue until a figure of $5OOO is reached. Once the figure of $5OOO is reached the Jackpot shall then terminate by all Jackpot monies being paid to the entront/s who gain the most points that week. Entry fee is 50c per selection or $l.OO for three selections. Entries can be left at Fowkes Tobacconist, Manchester Street and David Fowke (Finneys), Cathedral Square. - ALL ENTRIES TO BE ENCLOSED IN AN ADDRESSED ENVELOPE - Organiser: P. R. Muir, P.O. Box 22-355, High Street, Christchurch. RULES: 1. Entries are invalid if not completed properly. 2. Entrants must be 18 years of age or over. 3. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 4. Entries must be addressed to P.O. Box 22-358 High Street, Christchurch. 5. No entry to be received after 10 a.m. on day of meeting or left at Fowkes Tobacconist, Manchester Street and David Fowke (Finneys) Cathedral Square by 5 p.m. day before meeting. . 6. Last eight races only at meeting to be selected. 7. In the event of a division race only select in first division. 8. If picked horse is scratched your pick will transfer to win favourite. 9. All winners notified in following Wednesday's paper. 10. Winners and placegetters are as placed on day of meeting. 11. In the event of a tie all prizes shared. 12.
