Market buoyant ahead of Budget
The New Zealand sharemarket continued to firm yesterday, ahead of last evening's mini-Budget. The best gain of the day was 11c to 440 c by N.Z. Forest Products. Fletcher eased’3c to -555 c under profit-taking, and Carter Holt. Wattle, and Winstone were also losers. D. McL. Wallace firmed 2c to 120 c on the announcement of incentives for compressed natural gas kits for motor vehicles.
