Full-face helmets find favour
PA Wellington A Ministry of Transport survey has shown that 63 per cent of motor-cyclists wear full-face crash helmets. This compares with 11.6 per cent seven years ago, soon after it became compulsory for motor-cyclists to wear crash helmets. The report said that the finding was encouraging, because these helmets "are generally considered to be of more safety value than the ‘jet’ helmet.”
