Western riding
Followers of Western riding, from all parts of the South Is-! land competed in the Canterbury; show at the Methven A. and P.i Show Grounds, recently. There were 14 classes and skills ranging from showmanship to trailing. Each class was divided into three sections — a youth section for riders under 18; a junior section for horses four years of age and under; and an open ■ section for horses or riders of any age. High points in the three sections were: Junior (horse four years and under): Garswood Chico Skips, S. Fisher (Albury). Tenei Jonathan L. Seagull, M. Brown (Albury), 2.
