Sir, — I have long wondered whether politics is a branch of the acting profession, but now I am sure it is. The election of Mr Reagan, with all due respect for his many abilities, is an example of an experienced professional actor beating a comparative novice. Why not replace Mr Muldoon with an accomplished actor in 1981?
